An extraordinary situation occurred in Norway six weeks ago. Norway was exposed to an acute need of safety protection gear to prevent people from being exposed to COVID-19 contagion. Our Prime Minister went on television with a general invitation for all of us to assist.
We assume all of us understood the urgency, and we in Nautilus Subsea asked ourselves if a contribution could be made. Very quickly we focused on an eye protection shield and a cooperation with CopyCat was established – a printing Company in Norway. Nautilus with general product development experience and CopyCat with adequate network, manufacturing and assembly experience soon proved to be a healthy combination.
The concept development, hospital testing and establishment of the production line were done in one week. Soon after we signed our first major contract on the supply of protection shields.
