Nautilus Subsea was contracted by Westcon Yards in Florø to perform detailed engineering of gravity based anchors for the Snorre risers and umbilicals. The scope involved both horizontal anchors with anchor points for the horizontal hold back clamps and vertical anchors.
The detailed engineering involved both concept, detailed design and analyses with delivery of fabrication details (drawings and models) to Westcon for their delivery to DeepOcean. The engineering resulted in three types of anchors.
The structural analyses scope involved both transportation, installation (lift), operation and fatigue analyses. The geotechnical analyses was subcontracted to Multiconsult.
